Christine Hammond
Christine Hammond first started dabbling in art in 2000 when during a holiday at Couran Cove Resort she undertook a workshop with the artist in residence and produced two sea-themed watercolours worthy of framing.
A born and bred Redcliffian, it was her good friendship with Tricia Reust that fostered her continued involvement and growth in visual arts. The establishment of Studio 56 visual arts group and the Studio 56 gallery has been a progression borne out of strong friendships, hard work and dreams come true.
Christine has exhibited alongside Tricia, Joy, Carol and other artist friends in conjunction with the Redcliffe Pottery Society at their inaugural showing in 2008 and again in 2009 - an event which is set to be an annual highlight for many years to come.
She hopes you can visit the artist's galleries and take away with you some of the happiness that helped create them.

Joy Harris
Joy Harris has attended many Redcliffe Art Society run workshops over a period of 10 years with both local and visiting tutors and feels that she has benefited from each of these, however, she has particularly appreciated the mentorship of local artist Tricia Reust who has given her the courage to explore new techniques.
In 2008, Joy took advantage of a four day workshop in Kenilworth where she was tutored by Terry Lewitzka - a traditional impressionist.
Joy is a member of Visionaries, a Christian art group which provides the opportunity to attend lectures and exhibit.
Recent travel to Europe, has given Joy greater appreciation of art and the enjoyment it can give the observer, and in executing her own art work it is Joy's desire to share her passion and give pleasure to the observer.

Carol Zelow
Carol Zelow remembers finding enjoyment in her art as far back as her school days, but it wasn't until 2003 that she began taking Acrylic art classes as a means of outlet from her otherwise hectic life.
At the end of 2004, and after speaking with her long time good friend Christine Hammond, Carol decided to join the same workshops Christine was attending as the next genre they were studying was Portraits - something that really interested Carol.
It was the joining of that group that has since developed into Studio 56, and during that time, Carol has studied and learned many different techniques.
Carol's successes in art include being awarded a "commended" for her mixed media artwork entitled "Redcliffe Times" in November 2008.
Carol is excited to be a part of the establishment of the Studio 56 group.
